Our Colour Changing Flowers Experiment

We put some water and dye in some jars.

The dye was green, blue and red.

We put a flower in each jar.

We cut the stems of 2 flowers and put half in the red and blue, and half in the blue and green.

We predicted what would happen.

We all thought the flowers would change colour.

And they did!

For the spilt stems some of us thought the flowers might change to half one colour and half the other! 

That was what happened. 

Some of us thought the colours might mix and the flower might go purple (red and blue mixed) or ??? (green and blue mixed). 

This was what happened as well! 

We checked and green and blue mixed makes cian (a blue-green colour). 

We decided it would be better to call this 'bleen' or 'grue' like in a book some of us have read!
